Greater Columbus Convention Center Web Site

Greater Columbus Convention Center Web Site

Designed by Architect Peter Eisenman and opened in 1993, The Greater Columbus Convention Center is a world-class convention and meeting facility. The building itself, at 1.7 million-square-feet, offers exhibition halls, banquet space, and meeting rooms.

Eyethink was asked to improve the user experience of the Greater Columbus Convention Center website. Facility managers emphasized the need to support sales promotion and create a clear understanding of the venue and its benefits for event planners, exhibitors and visitors.

The Greater Columbus Convention Center is unique in two important ways. The building design is unlike any other and offers a variety of spaces for many different types of events. Also, the facility itself is located in
a downtown urban environment. “A Perfect Destination: From the Inside Out” became the guiding theme.

The new site uses photography, color
and enhanced content to highlight
the building’s distinct character. The vibrancy of the surrounding urban landscape is evident throughout. Interactive floor plans help event planners better understand the opportunities of the space. And, a walking map of the area helps users
plan a rich and interesting visit, while allowing them to easily locate adjacent amenities like parking and hotels.
